Artists in Schools
Cork Printmakers Artists in Schools programme was initiated in 1995.
The following year, in 1996, Cork Printmakers received an AIB Better Ireland Award in recognition of its success. Since then, Cork Printmakers has become an established arts education provider for the Munster region.
The programme has continued to develop, bringing a comprehensive range of printmaking workshops to Primary and Secondary Level Schools, and has expanded its sphere of activity providing workshops and print demonstrations to Public Libraries, Community Arts Projects, Summer Schemes, Third Level Colleges, Galleries and Youth Reach Projects.
Each workshop is taught by a professional practicing printmaker and offers an enjoyable creative experience in a classroom environment. Cork Printmakers will supply all necessary equipment, including a mobile printing press, as well as all materials required. A maximum of 25 students should be considered for a practical workshop, larger groups will need to be split in two. A workshop generally consists of a two-hour session however some techniques will require a double session
