ARTIST'S STATEMENT
John Berger wrote that "Images were first made to conjure something that was absent" and this concept is fundamental to my creative practice. My work is a massive collection of images, borrowed from folklore, from the landscape around me, from dreams and stories. I print, paint, draw. I use whatever is necessary to help an image appear or disappear. New work explores ideas of separation, vanishings and reconnection.
