ARTIST'S STATEMENT
The concept of metamorphosis and regeneration is a recurring theme in my work and this was the main concept in my last solo exhibition Butterfly Bull in 2007/2008.
Over the last two years I have been researching Darwin’s Theory of Evolution and through the print mediums screen-printing, digital printing and lithography. I have been incorporating dinosaur images and various skeletal vertebrates into my works.
Although I work with scientific material, I approach the work from the instinctual viewpoint of the artist and collaborate with science experts where possible to inform the factual aspects of the finished pieces.
